18-55mm kit lens
Reverse Macro Technique..

Didn't have the reverse ring.. so had to take the pics holding the lens! *it is not that easy*

Plus didn't use tripod.. so it is an achievement for me! :D

Dedicated to Amruta Dhamorikar.. my bestfriend.. my inspiration and an amazing photographer!

nope.. I used the reverse lens macro trick..

(18mm for maximum magnification)..

it was all hand held.. so took me about 3 hours to get a decent shot.. ;p

Nice job! I recommend using reverse ring, some old manual lens and a flashlight - you'll get much better results and you won't need any tripod ;] and there is no sense putting full resolution photo to the internet. If you resize it and apply some slight sharpening you'll get much better final results.

Oh.. Thanks! :D..
I'll get my reverse ring in some days..
And I'm getting a helios 44

I can't afford the expensive ones.. nd helios is good enough for a start.. :)

Yes it is, it's pretty sharp, I already used it for that purpose. And it's nice a normal lens to ;) I recommend some 28mm lens though - it gives higher reproduction ratio - i just bought one for 30$. But for that your really need flashgun.

It doesn't have to be 28mm ;) 28mm gives stronger magnification - 50mm is ok to :)

Good luck! don't be discouraged, don't use apertures smaller than f:8 ;)

yeah.. :D.. I used f/10 for this one :D..
nd I wanted good magnification so used around 35mm :P..

but its easier to use 50mm..

nd yeah.. :D.. when you do photography for yourself, you never get discouraged! *that's the beauty of it*..

Thank you very much for giving me all the tips!..

nd it would be great if you could tell me the lenses you have.. nd for what purposes you use them *the ones you use for macro specifically*.. :)
